Mystic Blues Festival • August 12-14, 2016

Education

The Mystic Blues Festival is committed to music education.  Although modern music is often overlooked in the academic world, Blues and Jazz have begun to receive the attention they deserve as art forms that have thoroughly transformed the musical landscape world wide.  As the foundation of nearly all popular music today, it is critical that we preserve and promote these early forms of modern American music and teach our audiences about the history and the artists that paved the way for Rock & Roll and its many off-shoots.

This year, we will continue to showcase performances by talented students, including adults and children. We will also be offering a variety of performances and interactive workshops presented by professional educators and performer/instructors.  As a Mystic Blues Festival ticket holder, you will have the opportunity to enjoy these programs at no additional cost to you.
